I have found that practicing gratitude helps in my relationships. If I tell myself and the people in my life what I appreciate about them I feel closer to them and they reflect back what I tell them I appreciate. Eventually people start telling me what they appreciate about me which guides me to be better at supporting their needs too. It’s a virtuous cycle. Sometimes when things are dark it’s hard to find the thing you appreciate, but if you dig you can find something in almost every person you interact with that makes them stand out.
