Is Robinhood still front-running trades?
I’m not aware of anything like this. I have roughly 200k with them, I certainly hope they’re not headed for a crash with the SEC? Researching. 😬
There were fined for selling order flows a few years ago - not sure they are doing still
It seems like a fine line, for a while they had statistic notifications based on collected user data. Those notifications always seemed like a promotion of the stock, perhaps the disappearance coincides with the fines. Crowdsourcing market wisdom seems reasonable if it isn’t used to manipulate the market, however at some investment size, eg. Blackrock, every large move initiates a shift in the valuation. For a while it literally felt to me that like clockwork some algorithm was pumping and dumping the US equity market in 5% steps. Imagine the easy money there when you have access to literal billions to invest.
