Setting at a "reasonable" $1k is a great psychological trick to prevent push back by those that dont understand the economy. There is no need to lower withdrawal limits when there is little push back to inflation. Keep it at a $1k and wait until a loaf of bread is worth that amount.

Cash made functionally useless and very few may notice.

It would be a shame if it turned out that the banking system is a scam.
