Welp. I thought #damus was immune from the follows getting torched like the #primal follows do. But no. I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that I was following nostr:npub1art8cs66ffvnqns5zs5qa9fwlctmusj5lj38j94lv0ulw0j54wjqhpm0w5 since July, because I did it when I finished his amazing book, The Genesis Book. This was in July. Just saw a post from him, decided to check it out, and I’m damned if I was not following him. So, I don’t give a rip about how many follow my npub, but I most assuredly do care how many/or who I follow.

Oh no. Did I get someone a bunch of extra honey-dos? So sorry Elsat. I just don’t want to hurt any new npub feelings because it happened to them and they thought I intentionally unfollowed them. We are busier than one-armed paper hangers so I am not backing anything up.

Don’t apologize! He loves digging into these things lol. Seriously though we would much rather folks report things cause otherwise we don’t know.

Another npub suggested Aaron had possibly changed npubs…so I may have been talking through the back of my neck LOL

I don’t think I did.

Well, I just refollowed you, so the error must be on my side. Thanks for helping me suss this out.

Unfortunately any Nostr tool you use probably has some potential to do this. Contact/follow backup lists are a cool premium feature idea for clients. Primal has done this and I’m sure others will to. If you don’t want to spend that money can backup yourself, but it is a pain.

I am #damus Purple. You would think that it wouldn’t go south under those auspices. I just wonder how many npubs see where I have “unfollowed” them and possibly take it personally.

Maybe Aaron changed accounts / npubs (?)

This something I had not considered!
