100% agree with this. Especially "IDGAF what someone else eats."
What I DO care very much about is that people understand the truth: that all carbohydrates are a net-negative for health.
If "carbs bad" was as widely understood as "seed oils bad" among health circles, I'd be spending a lot less time going after idiots on the internet.
Unfortunately, there is an enormous crowd of carb/sugar addicts out there who are NOT coming clean on their faults (or just haven't done proper research), and actually promote sugar & carbs as healthy. Often extremely loudly and confidently, under a brand of "esoteric health πΏππππ―" or some other buzzwords to anoint themselves with authorithy in the niche. #DunningKruger
This is where I draw the line. Carbohydrates are NOT healthy. Will they kill you immediately upon consumption? Obviously not, but the optimal amount for a human to eat over their entire lifetime is ZERO.
Of course practically none of us will be 100% perfect. Life happens, and high-time-preference splurging happens. We've all been there. But this is besides the point...
What matters is that the truth is known, and we do not let our emotions or personal battles massage it as a means of rationalizing our individual vices (ESPECIALLY if we hold some influence on the internet, where far more people are indirectly damaged by the confusion)
The truth must be made clear that if optimal health is one's ultimate goal, zero carbohydrates is the north star to strive for.
