I position the camera in front of my screen on web calls so that I am looking directly at the person and into the camera for eye contact (My monitor is a little higher, so mounting on top of that I would be looking up too much). In this pic, the camera is not positioned right, but you get the idea. That's me on screen on a coffee date!
