Venerable Dimitrie the New of Basarabi, a humble shepherd, lived a life of quiet devotion. After his death, during a severe drought, his relics were discovered and brought to the village. As the procession carrying his body arrived, a heavy rain began to fall, ending the drought. His relics now rest in Bucharest, a testament to his holy life.
