From what I understand the ETFs are obligated to back fully with spot BTC… will be interesting to see how well they can match their derivative to spot when the price runs away

Yep. What I should have said is that these fiat n00bs are too late, if they're getting in, at the ETF. This goes for any kind of investment, including BTC.
