Hi 👽 I’m also using GrapheneOS (degoogled Pixel).

I installed White Noise from the official GitHub release page, not via Zapstore:

https://www.whitenoise.chat/download

On Android, I used the ARM64 build:

whitenoise-0.2.1-arm64-v8a.apk

🔴Important: always verify the checksum shown on the download page before installing.

After installing, I added the app to Obtainium so it can pull future updates directly from the official releases.

That’s the exact workflow I used, and it works reliably on my degoogled phone.

Thank you for the inputs, I’ll have a try later this evening 👍🙏

Hi Alien Investor 😉 i downloaded whitenoise from github in my download folder, clicking on the whitenoise-0.2.1-arm64-v8a.apk opens up the app verifier however, the installation process doesn’t start.

It stays on the app verifier or when i close and go back to the download it just goes again to the app verifier ☹️

What am i doing wrong here?

till here all good and then nothing further

Hi 👽 try this:

White Noise on GrapheneOS – Installation stuck at App Verifier?

This is normal and confusing at first.

The App Verifier only verifies the APK.

It does not install apps.

If verification shows SUCCESS, the APK is authentic and safe — but still not installed.

What to do:

Exit App Verifier

Open your Downloads folder

Long-press the APK → Open with

Select Package Installer

If blocked:

Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → allow it for your file manager

Why this happens:

If the APK is always opened with App Verifier, you get stuck in a verification loop.

Thanks a mill for the support provided, much appreciated 👌🙏 profile setup successfully

No Problem. 👍That's my Alien Mission. Enjoy your secure messenger. 👽✨🌌
