Work, any kind of work, and intentional progress are features of the Matrix. Somehow people, especially westerners, fail to erase this malware from their heads. And end up chasing ghosts and gods and devils, that all are just features of the Matrix, too.
The truth is out there. Even the Matrix is unable to hide it well because it too does not understand it and cannot quite see it.
Just stop, uninstall the malware, travel the world, dig deep, and you will find it.
Oh, but who will produce all the stuff we use every day? Someone somehow - you don't need to worry about it. Because either you earn pennies, or you are already not working anyway. Because work from home and work in the office while branding, marketing and reselling chinese stuff or even food that was produced locally by tractors, robots and a few guys paid in pennies - is not work. The entire financial, governmental, and releasing software updates industry is not work either.
How to get out of this system? That is the tricky part. Perhaps gradually. But start by calling the things their real names, at least secretly in your own head.
