I want a nostr daemon / client that I can run on my personal server that keeps track of all my posts and makes backups that I can store and move to another relay should I ever want to.

You set your own private relay, and configure your client to publish to it (in addition to your other, usual relays). Viola, all posts backed up in your own database.
Umbrel has at least an Nostr relay. Don’t know about the moving of your accumulated posts from there.

Umbrel does this. Has a built in Nostr-rs-relay server with a fancy looking web UI that backs up your notes.
You can do that using my service. It will fetch all your events from 150 relays, make a backup file and also broadcast those events across 150 relays with just your public key.

Thanks #[3] I've been an early user of the auto backup service 🆒 we used to get a daily notification when done... Is this not sent anymore? How do I know my npub is autobacked up ?
I was thinking to add this functionalities to github.com/gzuuus/nostr_startr but I haven't had much time to develop it 💀
And with NIP 95 all your images will also be backed up by the same service automatically.
