IPFS is very much an ETH approach to decentralized file sharing. Torrents are the bitcoin approach. That’s at least how #[2] tells it

Also, props on building with GPT4. I just built zaptv.io with it as well (aiming for a decentralized video sharing platform)

Ohhh okay word, yeah happy to switch it to whatever. IPFS or Torrent, neither has much meaning to me re: the end goal and so I appreciate you sharing this openly. I’ll look into Torrents - though the main differentiator is?

#[3] oh my gosh now I’m like #[2] is going to say “wtf is this sh-$” 😂 ah. Go easy on me if you reply fistjaf, aluno não é um dev 🌐

Remove the quotes from the filenames.

The script.js file is missing from the repository.

#[3] + scripts.js.

This version eliminates IPFS based on Nostrich feedback, and uses Storj instead. Adding storageInteraction.js now:

Yes sir 💯will do right now.

Basically torrent is just a much simpler protocol with a proven track record. You can add webseeds to a magnet link, meaning you can include an http hosted copy in the swarm, which is great for bootstrapping a swarm.

I’m still learning these details myself but I think Nostr will mean lots of renewed interest in Torrents
