If they reported the compounded YoY inflation rate over the past few years, just *that* many more people might wake up.

Exactly. The headline today was “a 10th straight month of declines in inflation”. We’re supposed to be happy about the manipulated inflation number has declined to DOUBLE what their “target” is. (Forget the fact that the target is bullshit as well.)
