It's crazy how much Ukraine has stepped up the drone warfare compared to the start of the war in 2014 and that's a good thing!

The drones are a clear counter to the "us many" tactic.

The only thing that surprises me is how many weak arguments there are under this post of yours Tod.

I would have expected stronger arguments from Nostr than just "so go fight if you support it so much" or that "Ukraine should stop fighting, the war is going nowhere" etc.

Historically, Americans and our countrymen in America protested for the annexation of the Sudetenland, but even these protests, there was still a deal between the aggressor(Hitler) and the allies, about us, but WITHOUT us.

Did this policy prevent anything? No. Then why are we repeating it again.

I will summarize for the commenters here why the policy of appeasement is going nowhere. I don’t know if its worthy to waste time again, but maybe someone will read it.

The Policy of Appeasement - Why It Failed

The policy of appeasement, particularly symbolized by the 1938 Munich Agreement, aimed to avoid war by conceding to the demands of aggressive powers—most notably Adolf Hitler. Britain and France allowed Nazi Germany to annex the Sudetenland, a region of Czechoslovakia, without Czech participation or consent, hoping this would satisfy Hitler and preserve peace in Europe.

However, appeasement backfired. Instead of preventing war, it emboldened Hitler, proving to him that the West would not resist his expansion. Within months, Germany violated the agreement and occupied the rest of Czechoslovakia. A year later, Hitler invaded Poland, triggering World War II.

Key Lesson: Appeasement often encourages aggressors, making conflict more likely, not less. Standing firm and defending one’s principles—even at a cost—is often necessary to prevent larger tragedies!

you are right but your words for those who are ready to go deep. usually people quickly find analogy or pattern and thats it. from my experience many people including "bitcoin influencers" see war in Ukraine something like war in afghanistan where US gov spent billions without any result and just to feed corruption and money laundering. this especially nice pattern because it explains inflation and so on.
