Word just broke that the IOC has removed break dancing from the 2028 LA itinerary.
So, now it would seem even the potential positives are nixed, except maybe your positives of maintaining the underground anti-authority spirit of the dance.

That’s actually not the outcome I would have wanted. All of this is a massive self own on the part of the Olympics. Also, the IOC is a bunch of lame authoritarian fiat credentialists. I can reject “judged” / standardized breakdancing and still celebrate it being in the Olympics for those who do love to break but have a different opinion than mine. I feel like the Olympics will only get sillier and more corrupt and more nonsensical as time goes on and fiat breaks down.
