i think you're misreading the note 😁. I don't mean don't use hashtags.
I mean that if you have a niche of great content you can build a hashtag with it for others to enjoy at a later date.
That is better than spam and using a million tags to bring eyes to themselves. I generally unfollow and walk away from those npubs

Some tags are essential for my well being such as #foodstr #footstr and #coffeechain
Nobody will enjoy anything a small account creates if they don’t ever see it. Let the smaller accounts connect with each other using hashtags and if you see someone overdoing it or being tasteless then block them. They’re useful for people starting out here trying to make connections and it can still be authentic.

What I mean by this is build content tags that future npubs can enjoy like quality notes around the actual topic rather than spamming 15 on each note
