I was excited for the idea of X Chat, Money, etc. After coming to nostr, I could care less. Already has all those features, resistant to nonsense, and has a lot of amazing people.
💯 The idea is right. The execution is wrong, and without using and experiencing nostr and bitcoin I probably wouldn’t see that. Integrating your socials, content, and money online makes things very streamlined and convenient. But millions of people doing that on a centralized platform that controls all of them is a disaster waiting to happen. Nostr and Bitcoin achieve that integration while remaining open and preserving user choice and freedom.

Absolutely. Especially given that said company could potentially be required to disclose all details to unfriendly regimes. Or simply disable access at the request of regimes.
Crazy to think we're still fighting for a free and open internet all these years later. At least our technology is getting better to provide the opportunities of freedom now. Only good and better things to come, IMO
