The original X failed, or at least never became what was intended of it.
Meta tried to do payments and failed for the same reasons.
The newly branded X.com will fail as the everything financial app too, for the same reasons.
I guess it wasn’t obvious it was only the centrally controlled nature of those systems that doomed them.
