The West had to get rid of President Trump. What better way then to release a virus with a 99.7% survival rate, give the virus a “scary” name like COVID-19, and then push mail-in voting where most states have election laws where it makes it easy to cheat? Their plan wasn’t that sophisticated. Tons of people bought the narrative, including many bitcoiners.
On top of that, during the COVID era you saw the largest wealth transfer in World History. Lock everyone down except the businesses the elite own, crush small businesses so the common man is reliant on the Government, print money out of thin air and give them out as stimulus checks, etc. The lockdowns were more about stopping the money velocity of the money they printed out of thin air being injected into the world economy. That’s why inflation was under control during the lockdowns and shot up as soon as the lockdowns were lifted around the world.

I think there are two dynamics occurring at the same time.
1. Western Globalists and CCP are on the same page for enslaving the plebs of their respective spheres of influence. The Western Globalists look at the CCP with envy and desire to emulate that level of control over the plebs in the West.
2. There is a genuine competition playing out over who is going to be the leader of the world order. Over the long-term, the CCP is not content with merely having a seat at the table of a world order run by Western Globalists.
Frankly, I hope the Western Globalists and CCP exhaust each other and both collapse.

The Globalists had hoped, over decades, they could rope China in economically to compel them to be docile junior members of the world order, like Canada or Germany for example.
The CCP played the long game, enjoyed the benefits of joining the WTO and other economic deals, but never had a desire to be subordinate to a bunch of Westerners over the long-term.
This became apparent when Xi took power. At that point the Globalists stopped propping up the CCP and realized they had created a Frankenstein that could sweep them aside eventually.
If you read what Haas and CFR writes this is what they are really saying, and it makes sense to me.
No they knew they where propping up China and undermined the west when they moved their manufacturing there and admitted them to the WTO. Yes some may have thought the increasing prosperity would break the CCP but it was always just a money and power play by the multinational corporations. They knew very well this move would lower the wages and living standard in the west and increasing it in the east. It was an huge arbitrage play with the added benefit of creating new markets and levelling the global playing field at the cost of the western middle class worker. National politics is a sideshow their ultimate goal is a fascist new world order where Nation states are second class citizens.
