I suppose but these algos were machine learning backed for many years before this, so I guess I just don’t fully understand what they would be transitioning to.

My theory is more that they’ve shifted too many resources towards LLMs and it’s affecting their product quality in other areas. Maybe that’s what you meant though.

it's a bubble... i was just reading about how there are fake cycles of money flow going through this

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2025-04-05/money-aist

and i'm just gonna repeat it again because nobody really seems to understand this: LLMs are essentially a lossy compression algorithm

38% hallucination rate is because it's ... lossy compression

it is not even close to AGI and i don't believe there ever will be such a thing because the only energy efficient way to make a brain is, with neurons, and fat and blood and shit and life and death... the reason why it has been hyped so much is because of the megalomaniacal fantasies of fake doctors who fund bioweapons research and was a key orchestrator of one of the biggest medical frauds in history, he hates people, and he wants to kill them all

and he thinks that LLMs are gonna be James Cameron's Skynet and Kurzweil's "singularity"

it is neither of these, and it's gonna fall off a cliff within 3 years once everyone realises that it's just a ponzi shell game
