Always said to myself I'd learn to play an instrument, not very adventurous but opting for acoustic guitar. Where do I start?

If I were to start again, I'd take lessons to start with. Depends on how motiviates you are to learn alone but it's hard to keep going when progress feels slow.
Then practice practice practice.
I was thinking about lessons but not sure of anyone or have any recommendations in our area. My dad was in a band (drummer) but doesn't live in this country so no connections I can make.
