Small scale they are fun, they bond to you and are smart for little bird brains. Love water and to muck things up though so I hated them when I tried to scale them

We don't plan to scale them. Just enough to produce eggs and keep my wife entertained. they're more of a gateway drug into small scale husbandry.
I've had a 8X4X7 ft aviary for more decades than I care to think.. Birds are funny quite often.. Ever want a parakeet, I'll FedEX it to you! LOL. And when babies are around they can melt the heart.. Innocent & naive and flying around uncontrollably because they've never had to land on a perch. So when they start flying, all of a sudden, they wonder how they're supposed to stop? They've been standing on the bottom of nest boxes their whole life!
Thanks for the offer. I'd love to see parakeets in the house with our two cats.
We'll be moving the ducks outside in a couple of weeks. We're still working on their run.
Ducks and chickens are the perfect place to start
Make sure to use duck feed as there actually is a difference (mainly high in niacin I think it is) and provide a place for them to be able to always dip their heads under water
