If it’s truly micro payments, then I think that could be pretty awesome.

But If popular videos ever started to cost a buck per watch, well we would have to be judicious with what we choose to watch. Which could actually have a lot of good consequences. But might harm people who are earnestly using videos to learn about topics in advance, their lives and careers.

Be interesting to see how the economics shake out and where everything ends up.

egirls will probably figure this out. Others will use the idea too. All is needed is a way to provide locked content until zaps received. Maybe even have prices that can be adjusted based on engagement.

Thank you #egirls for being on the front line trenches of the transformative new economy

What would incentivize cheaper streaming per view? Perhaps you get more volume of viewers because it costs less for each person to view?

Then you could also choose to put ads on for one price and no ads for another. I do think in the end streaming might make just as much or more from not being on walled garden platforms. Well be interesting to see how it plays out.

Definitely 👍

I was imagining if you have multiple content creators in a similar product space, One might list their content for cheaper than the other especially if they are currently less popular and trying to grow.

So just the ideas behind classic free market competition.

Another thing to think about is how ai will make it easier and cheaper for content creators to create movies and shows. Lowering cost of production.
