Wow…

Probably a naive/stupid idea but how about:

- Add in-app purchase for 1000/$1, 2500/$2 and 5000/$4 "tipping tokens" (sats), respectively.

- Enable the function only if LNURL is configured.

- Auto-generate withdrawal url + invoice as post-purchase hook

- Damus gets to profit on diff on the exchange rate (minus apple cut)

- Apple gets their cut

- Apple requirements formally fulfilled

I thought about that. Just need a way to integrate with a bitcoin exchange? Then other guidelines comes into play i think

Or azteco, that's exactly what they're offering.

Could be easier with azteco, because you're just redeeming a voucher, you're not touching any exchange.

nostr:npub1ccsfkkfk46jsjtn80cup0vjn98slkheqd65t36tut822kddvdcxqxjdc57 do you think azteco voucher purchased via apple fiat wallet will appease the apple reviewers?

Try integrate with a DEX, then the app will nout bound to a single entity (e.g. Binance :-) )

Integration itself shouldn’t be an issue. Many exchanges provide apis. The issues are likely about the exchanging process itself though. Depending on the jurisdiction you’re in, all sorts of regulation could kick in to the point where you might need some license.

It’s all rather ludicrous, imho. If Damus was one of those pay-to-level-up type of games you could simply sell tokens or gold stars through the app store and nobody would bat an eye.
