I read this book by Rupert Sheldrake. I recommend that you read it too. I think that understanding the materialist mechanist paradigm and the dogma that it creates is essential to our commitment to understanding. If we are going to be truthful to the pursuit of truth, we must rid ourselves of every form of ideology that biases the outcome of our research.
