My own node is now only 26,000 sats away πŸ₯Ή

I guess i have to get ready to order the last missing part (2TB ssd) soon πŸ˜…

Never dreamed of that much support πŸ™πŸ«‚ So grateful πŸ₯Ή nostr:note1vvgjl5z40g6eyghewh9tlj6al70xsprel5yxgu4n0fd23xqsufnq7t5xvl

πŸ˜… i thought that number was intentional. Thank you so much πŸ™πŸ«‚πŸ’œ

Run a node, broadcast your transactions. Be sovereign over your money… and support the network πŸ«‚

This is the way. I will share the progress on #nostr to inspire more plebs to do so 🫑

Looking forward to it, what hardware are you using? OS?

Next step, run a bitcoin meeting in your area.

I have an old aopen DE7000 mini pc here:

- Intel core2duo P8700

- nvidia c79 ion (9400m) graphics card

- 8GB(2x4) ddr3 1333mhz sodimm RAM

Last missing was a 2TB ssd which is now ordered thanks to you πŸ™

I am planning to use Star9 OS πŸ’ͺ

That is a big device for running just a bitcoin node.

If you use start9 (good choice) you can run your own freeGPT in seconds.

And many other services.

If you do that, consider getting a smaller device, separate hardware, to just run Bitcoin core, electrum and a wallet. Something like an intel NUC or other mini pc with lower energy consumption.

Enjoy the adventure.

Thanks πŸ™ yes, the energy consumption is also something i already thought about. But as i already struggle to make the ssd purchase i wanted to start with what i have. Waiting to be able to buy a nuc would be another hurdle

Do you think this device is overpowered for a bitcoin node? I was more concerned it was underpowered to be honest πŸ˜
