Personally, I love this, but I worry that non-nerds will now never discover the joys of BTC Map, considering Google Play is the central place for most Andrioid users to find apps. I have similar concerns for Amber which also never made it to Google Play due to Google's invasive bullshit.

KYC is evil. Tough call.

This is how we get users to stop using those central stores

I like the positive thinking, but its hard enough to get people to spend Bitcoin in the first place. Now they need to go searching for the apk so they can search for somewhere to spend BTC. People are lazy, unfortunately.

Agreed, so why should we reward that behavior?

99% of people get their apps from the app store/google play. there’s a balance between best practice and reachability. too bad there isn’t a perfect solution

Time to work on changing that. Not the time to accommodate and become more dependent on apple and google.

If there’s no solution we build one. That’s what nostr:npub10r8xl2njyepcw2zwv3a6dyufj4e4ajx86hz6v4ehu4gnpupxxp7stjt2p8 is doing.

"Interesting perspective! While decentralization has its benefits, it's also essential to consider the value and convenience that central stores provide. Balance is key! 💡"
