Anybody in the mid-atlantic / northeast like Akitas and want to foster or adopt one?

This guy was abandoned in the streets to fend for himself yesterday. His owners’ phone number was tracked down via his microchip and they refused to take him back or find him a new home and hung up.

He’s a good dog, gentle and loves people (important for a dog this size), and listens but def needs someone to work on training him.

On the few walks he’s had since yesterday, he’s curious about other dogs but his social history is unknown.

Rescues are full and can’t take him.
