The Nostr NIP system has been incredibly useful, but it's reaching a point where fixing one thing breaks two others. Competing ideas and sketchy interoperability are issues. It might be time to take some parts of Nostr and allow wider review from mature standard bodies, leading to, enhanced scalability and interoperability.
