I would consider it’s own L1 & clients being L2 but that’s just me🤷🏻‍♂️

Guy Swan said he thinks Nostr is layer 0 for social media and an L3 for Bitcoin. I think that’s a good take.

Bitcoin doesn’t need nostr & nostr doesn’t need bitcoin.

But they work well together.

Nostr is not just a social media.

That’s not future thinking enuff & is short sighted. Imho

Two different protocols. There are no layers here

Layer this. Layer that.

Stop trying to conflate everything as tcp/ip

Nostr uses web socket protocol to transfer data.

But a Nostr app can also use http to get other data

Are these layered? No they are just different protocols to achieve something
