People largely don't understand that the EU and the Euro was a US construct to contain Germany after unification between West and East Germany.

Washington's greatest fear since WW2 has always been raprochement between Germany and Russia via a Greater Eurasia. Their other major fear has now been realised, China and Russia forming an unbreakable alliance.
