I hate being made to feel like I'm the asshole for choosing to not give a tip to the person that did nothing more than ring up my order.

In Japan we don’t have tipping and it’s awesome.

Yes, I’ve lived in multiple countries where this is the case and it is a quality of life improvement.

Imagine going to a restaurant, having to do mental math with state tax, federal tax and tip…

I especially love the “Service charge” part of the taxes section. Not sure about other countries, but they have it in UAE. Probably the main reason service staff often doesn’t get any tips.

It is if servers get a decent salary

I guess the 'tip' is to find a new gas station for future purchases.
