Replying to Avatar Nate

Trying to format the latest Ubuntu onto an old laptop still running Ubuntu 14.04 to convert this laptop into a dedicated #Bitcoin node.

The bootloader fails to install every time when creating a startup USB. No error message.

Anyone know how to fix this? Have sats, will zap

I feel like this shouldnt be this complicated lol

I am imaging (not copying) the new OS onto the usb using Ubuntu's built-in program.

Then when it completes installation it fails to install bootloader at the end.

Then in the BIOS I change the boot priority to start from the usb. But it always skips the usb as if it isnt formatted correctly. Just boots normally.
