Everyone knows nonprofit companies (also referred to as "non-governmental organizations" or "foundations") are just a gigantic tax scam, that discourages private enterprise and self-employment, feeds corruption and opaque accounting, slows innovation, and destroys market price signals, but we all pretend not to notice that it's a bunch of commie bullshit because the people working there are usually really nice.

You know why you know it's bullshit? Because it is based upon the idea that:

- people should spend other peoples' money on stuff those people wouldn't directly pay for

- it is better to sit on the board of a nonprofit or get cozy with the members, and arrange for that nonprofit to give you grants, than to get your hustle on, in a cutthroat, open market

- things are only worth paying for, if you get a tax write-off (Like with government services, right? Don't pay taxes on those, either.)

- that you should be making big bucks for things you haven't even built, yet, or services you haven't yet formed, or that are still in the experimental stage

- that forcing people to front significant amounts of money (through direct outlays or through loss of other income) isn't PoW that separates the truly motivated from the half-hearted and the scammers

The entire concept is logically retarded.

A nonprofit is a company that always reinvests all of their profits. Any company can do that. Don't need a special designation for that.

The whole thing is fucked up and bullshit and it's only so popular because it allows them to raise corporate taxes to the roof, without their own supporters rebelling because most people either work for the government nonprofit or for nongovernmental nonprofits.

THE ONLY COMPANIES THAT ARE PUNISHED BY CORPORATE TAXES ARE THE ONES PRODUCING STUFF INDIVIDUAL PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO PAY FULL PRICE FOR.

Amen!
