Giving to others doesn't mean you aren't still selfish, many people give for selfish reasons. Give with intent to help others without expecting anything in return, you are sacrificing your money/time for others. Your ego will 100% try to hijack your good deed to make you praise yourself internally, just deny it, reject it. Praise be to God.

Disagree. In my opinion, giving to others is always selfish, as is any rational action, and any action's rationale from the point of view of the actor. We can try and tell ourselves we are acting selflessly, but this is self-deception.
Instead of denying it, embrace it! We (in general, as a species) have learned that through cooperation (which implies giving), we all benefit.
Selfishly giving to others allows us to properly economize our time. This is a good thing. We will actually be helping in the ways we can best contribute, rather than sacrificing for non-optimal results.
That internal praise? Also a good thing. This is what boosts your self-esteem, makes you sovereign, instead of a slave to an unknown master.
