We drive German cars here. 🌝
First gear and enjoy the cruise you either live or die
That would be bad, but man it looks like a great drive.
I think you would like some anecdotes I have about trips on roads like that 😆
Yes
Ok, after my training
These photos are more recent, but it's a route I've traveled on several occasions. The earliest was when I was about thirteen. We were on our way to visit some distant relatives. Back then, the route wasn't even the paved road you see in the photos, so the trip took longer time, and we almost didn't arrive at night. Literally.
My siblings and I were sleeping in the back when suddenly the car stopped. I was startled, and my father, in a low voice I hadn't heard before, said: "Don't take anything and get out of the car slowly." My mother was also sleeping in the front, so at first I thought it was so she wouldn't wake up. Instinctively, I gently shook my siblings and got them sleepily out of the car. So, my father, in that different voice, told my mother to get off. She, woke up surprised, said something that I didn't hear and got off. Then, my father drove ahead, pulled up and called us back to the car. A little while later, we arrived at the village. Only the next day did we find out what had happened when we passed by the same place: due to the rains, part of the road had collapsed and my father hadn't noticed it in time, so he brought us down in case he couldn't make it back up the slope and avoid falling into the abyss.
