Currently I'm struggling with different problem. For me there are too many alternatives and I can't decide which to choose. There is Mastodon, Nostr, Blue Sky and who know what else. As of today I have account on both Mastodon and Nostr but still can't decide on one of them. On the other hand managing accounts on different services is pointless. How do you approach this problem?
Maybe you are right, but there are also very succesful examples out there (ie. Linux, Bitcoin) which the base layer of functionalities created the community without any marketing plan.
The concern of loosing privacy, the potential idea of having thoughts/opinions manipulated through algorithms, the charming idea of having a secured and personal ID were you curate the content with free of speech, or you create your own content garden, etc... all these ideas that NOSTR brings will catch up step by step, the same way Bitcoin caught up with no marketing plan.
We will see NOSTR influencers paid by nobody praising its core functionalities: escape from the current madness and build your ID at your own rythm.

Stay where people are: Twitter and stay where the concept/tech seems promising, for me, it’s #nostr . Bluesky doesn't have any unofficial servers, the content is used to train their AI model, and people are weird. Mastodon has trouble scaling, and you can get banned from a server for no reason.
I agree with Alex. 100%. I decide based on where is the innovation more likely to disrupt. NOSTR is very big, huge possibilities that can be built on top.
