I had forgotten in V for Vendetta how a virus outbreak enriched pharmaceutical execs, led to the rise of a weak demagogue, and ultimately the people deciding that it was time to watch shit blow up and start over.

You should read Brave New World. That’s the plan. People willingly line up for their shots today. Lines down the road. Bent over and smiling. All fat & gay.

Folks were ordinary looking. The story took place in London, not America. They did reference “the former United States of America.”
