The problem is... we don't want to find the truth... we want our worldview to remain intact.

It is an evolutionary defensive mechanism. Tribal. Very ineffective. It slows down progress... or stops it completely.

For sheep, it's not a problem, as they don't progress. But for humans... very destructive...

Stop viewing information/worldviews/mindsets/perspectives as yours or others'. It's not a sports game with teams and sides. It's not about good and evil...

It is about efficiency.

Filling your car's tank with shitty fuel and convincing yourself that you're doing good is inefficient!

Spending time in the gym for years and getting no results, but sticking to 'your' program anyway, is inefficient.

Living in a miserable relationship, convincing yourself that this is all you can do, is inefficient!

Open your mind, learn... You're doing something inefficiently!
