So is the % that the banks give you for holding your money with them a smaller % of inflation that year? And in reality they are making you believe your money is worth money when it’s just them making more money off of you?

I have people telling me proudly that they have access to 4% or something interest rates on their saves. After losing a cumulative... 30%?? in the last 3 years, and losing probably another 10% this year before we even see what happens to energy prices.
