AI gripe: So I guess even Gemini pro doesn't keep a permanent context? Like, I uploaded an entire codebase hoping to have a permanent "expert" who remembers the code and can answer questions about it ...

I log in today, and it seems like it forgot everything. I can still see the code uploads in the chat, but the chatbot doesn't seem to remember them... So I just have to re-upload the whole thing every time?

I am waiting for Ai that I can feed my own info (in addition to theirs) and train to think in certain ways and remember. Everything else is just producing conversational but less-validated search results, essentially.

Look into "Local Retrieval-Augmented Generation"

I think it’s been pretty useful to get broad sweeps of info that are a little harder to pull together through search, also has had pretty good strategy for doing/making something you’re interested in imho
