Yes it isn't easy but it is getting easier. Old thinkpad from eBay and install Linux.

For the phone get a pixel and install graphene or get a Ubuntu touch compatible device.

Not easy but possible.

not saying it isn't possible. just that its a bad take to think apple is on the verge of being blockbuster. i personally don't use any apple products, but that doesn't reflect the masses
