Two of three of my neighbors have chickens. I love it when they come to visit and eat the ticks out of our yard.

My grandad used to let Guinea hens free range around his property just to get rid of ticks.
Wow, that's really cool!!! I didn't know that about chickens!
Where I grew up it was too cold for ticks. Since becoming an adult, they have now started being able to survive up there. I also don't live there anymore, so I'm glad to know that chickens are a good antidote!!
