It's just aesthetically cool. People will spin all kinds of cope for how it's innovative or deep or whatever but at the end of the day it's just cool. It's the same reason guys like shonen anime. It's cool. That's all it needs to be.

Star Wars isn't cool anymore so no one likes it anymore. Women aren't cool, unless they're half naked and in need of rescue.

The original trilogy also unironically had good dialogue that was written to complement the tone and had an excellent soundtrack which gave it a powerful mystical atmosphere, even though it's lacks non-aesthetic substance. And ofc when it came out it had insane special effects so it blew a lot of peoples minds (still has great effects to this day).

I'm too socially retarded to know what good dialogue is. Otherwise I'm being reductive as to what "cool" means so it comes off low IQ to make the normalFAGGOTS comfortable.

Spectacle, atmosphere, production. It has all of these useless descriptors and moar! Great color design too.

I am a simple man. I like movements and explosion, and pretty colors. Not so much space (which is fake) but I like music. Very good music in Star Wars!
