Yeah but why?

Personally I used to do stuff like this but then I'm like why? I remember a specific crossfit workout I was doing muscle ups and I was on like number 16, and I'm like why? What's the point of getting two more? What difference does it make? Cool 100 burgers, 200, 300... I once did 5,000 double unders for time. Why? It doesn't make you better. It doesn't mean you're stronger or more fit. Rather if anything there's a 'mental toughness' aspect to it. Which can be reached with more traditional, higher quality work.

Now I'm more of the mindset that training is specific and focused. It's stimulus and recovery oriented. Like boom I focused on these pause squats to help with my clean, and my phases are block oriented with 6months - 24month duration of planning. All just the opinion of a complete idiot though.
