nothing personel to other distros but if they cannot do that in a simple command your distro is trash "dnf install *nvidia* thats it that's the command to install nvidia drivers on fedora it will pull all necessary packages for you and without having any issues at reboot.

Now use the one that doesn't come with also don't worry iru maybe novideo decide to continue making xorg x12? who knows, wayland seems doesn't convince a lot boomers

AFAIK its getting there. I heard it works well with Plasma and Gnome Wayland implementations but not with certain wlroots compositors?

For what I know Nvidia Wayland works now, but there's still some glitches around, that's why is necessary to pull from xorg still. Give them time for baking.
