Not necessarily. In my example I withdraw from an exchange that covers the on chain fee (because they batch txs) and sent directly to a liquid peg-in address.

I also detail how to only get hit with one on chain fee to establish a large channel to Phoenix wallet, then hopefully never have to worry again.

I don’t think we have anything like that in the states tho. Or maybe we do but they charge a ridiculous spread between the bid and ask. If you know of one, let me know. Keep in mind I live into the commie state of NY πŸ˜†

You can use Robosats to buy and receive to Phoenix. You'll have to pay an opening fee for Phoenix to open a channel to you but once you accumulated 2-5 million SATs in Phoneix you can use Boltz to swap into liquid whenever your channel fills up and need inbound liquidity
