It was more of a cultural thing. People were rightly distrustful of paper notes and the idea of having a bank account was absurd. Silver coins in a jar hidden somewhere at home was the way for most people to save. But yes, change will have to be driven by a minority and yes there rob not in our lifetimes.

I canβt seem to wrap my head around most.. maybe youβre talking about the beginning of fractional reserve banking and not the beginning of fiat which I could def understand what you mean then n agree for sure
