I'm planning to do a video showcasing the variety of #nostr clients that already exist, and discussing future possibilities.

What are your "must includes"?

Amethyst. Has the function to easily add new relays. Tor integration that forces you to start orbit for a specific account.

Iris for web is awesome.

Might be worth talking about how easy it is to set up and run a relay if you have a domain.

Gonna show the strfry relay I run.

I also mostly use #Amethyst and it is πŸ‘Œ

Iris and others can be set up as a PWA , might be worth mentioning.

No sign ups, email and server hassle like mastodon pub protocol, but can be set up to work with it and telegram among other crossposting integrations.

nostr:npub1tuta00sz4wvvzymqcfq42cqhxal6puqpylxs4yf0z28z3ryvfh9qkqmv92 is working on monero zaps too.

Not sure if this is a good idea given the level opsec you are field testing for us all lol, but this feels #comfy

#Amethyst is very cool and easy to explore and smooth for multiple profiles

nostr:npub1gcxzte5zlkncx26j68ez60fzkvtkm9e0vrwdcvsjakxf9mu9qewqlfnj5z pulling some hard loads for Android users

Also found nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s launching Damus for Android.

We are going to see some great improvements soon on both.

😊

My vote is primal since they just launched on iOS, and that’s what I’m using!

Not sure if you saw my other replies with suugestions, sometimes i don't see replies to my replies for some reason.

Might be important to point out how spam blocking works on amethyst.

nostrudel.ninja

Definitely

Thanks for #zap πŸ™

Cahlen's outdoor-living videos are very nice, he def has a good on-screen charisma. He is doing a video to showcase nostr clients and think this would be a good stepping stone for all. I hope many clients pick this up.

For my input :

1. I use and have used Coracle, Primal, Snort, Iris, Satellite, Agora

2. I've been very curious on More Speech and Gossip

3. The popular ones i've not used (because i don't use nostr on my phone) are damus, amethyst, Nos

Also some of these devs have so much of backstories on them which makes it really interesting - Amethyst Vitor is an eye entrepreneur, Martti of Iris is one of the earliest people to speak to satoshi, uncle bob of more speech is crazy famous all over the world and the best story teller here, mike dilger worked in sun microsystem and rares sheeps in NZ, rabble is the coolest rebel here and early twitter guy, Pablo is from Argentina he has stories of strapping phone and taking it between countries to sell them - that and his awesome hikes too, artur from turkey, we were chatting with him while there were earthquakes going on. I think the little things are pretty awesome.

Btw nostr:npub1kemda478drtx5at65wt8kyjrmy9l27hmp8gsgnfjr8vdgf8y46sqsw0hnv if you are exploring "the other stuff", i also think including lot of work by Artur Brugeman, Pablo, Verbricha would be very interesting - they have created so many - other stuff - from browser, to DVMs, highlighters, habla.

Thanks for doing videos like this (and the outdoor ones). We def need more of this

snort.social It's improved a lot lately

The one like reddit i think its calles zappdit ?

I'll check it out, thanks!

I have no suggestions that you probably haven't already thought of, but looking forward to watching your video for my own info. There's a lot of clients I haven't been keeping tabs on and would love to see a review of how they're all advancing so I can update my pinned tweet on Shitter to onboard new users.

Primal, Snort, NoStrudel, Yakihonne, Habla, Sattelite.

Amethyst, Primal and Damus on mobile is an obvious one :)

I'm using Plebstr on my iphone, I started with it and went back to it from Damus. It behaves better on poor connection I get half every week in my cave and the interface is more pleasant to me. But it depletes battery quite quickly. I'd like to start using something on my mac, but what I tried didn't feel comfortable so far.
