I feel like Bitcoiners understand the wave of regulatory challenges coming our way. I also see some great efforts to educate lawmakers and regulators about what this ecosystem is all about. But where I feel like we’re failing is the political organization side of things.
We forget how susceptible lawmakers are to pressure - especially in an election year. We forget how much pressure vulnerable lawmakers can put on regulators. We forget the
impact of several thousand calls and emails to lawmakers office.
With all due respect to nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m , this is not about law and order absolutists prevailing. One only need look at the lawlessness overtaking so many communities. This is about political control - power. Bitcoin threatens the power of the regulatory class. But Bitcoiners can threaten the power of the political class.
By the smallest estimate, there are 26 millions Bitcoiners in the US. Much smaller constituencies have moved political mountains. And we can do so as responsible members of our communities.
Most of you might hate it, but we need to get into the political fight. We talk about self custody, sovereignty. It’s time we actively stick up for these principles in the public square.

My two sats. Unless you're political deep state, you're not influencing shit. Cope all you want but there are still liberty minded folks in govt. Some of y'all might be quiet. I hope you've stacked enough to speak out soon. The arguments are available for all viewpoints. Don't be afraid to speak up.

Agreed, there are still a lot of good people in government who respect the oaths they took when they entered on duty and try to do the right thing for the country. This is precisely why I think there’s a political fight to be won. Just think how far the needle has moved over just a few years on so many issues in a short amount of time. That needle goes both ways. I think we focus too much on unseen or hidden forces when the reality is DC is driven by power and politics. Those motivations always win out. The forces working against Bitcoin aren’t somehow inherent to DC’s political culture- they were nurtured and supported by a class of special interests. The problem is that up until now, there hasn’t been an effective counterbalance.
I stack enough that I've been kickoff so many centralized exchanges. If you want influence get involved in the community. I'm a member of the Texas Libertarian Party and since I've join we've made great strides in exposing the UniParty. I agree that in our gov we have freedom loving patriots but they're in sleep 💤 mode or else they would get removed by the deep state players. The journey of 1000 steps starts with just one. 1️⃣.
